Cycle Safety and QDL
Here at QDL we’re a big believer in cycle safety and Safer Road Use By All! This has primarily been through our Safe Urban Driving (SUD) courses where HGV drivers learn about road use from a cyclists perspective, and are often taken out on the road on our own bicycles.
However; we feel that Road Safety is the responsibility of ALL road users!
With this in mind QDL Services, QDL Training, and Roadcraft are happy to be available to make this happen. Whether it’s:
- Bringing a truck or a blind spot presentation to schools and events where children and adults will be able to see the drivers viewpoint, or
- Arrange events at our own site for groups to get to know trucks and improve blind spot awareness.
All Road Users Must Act Responsibly
- Obey Red Lights and Traffic Signs
- Make Eye Contact as much as possible
- Pay Extra Attention at Roundabouts
- Remain Visible at ALL times
- Respect the space of other road users
