In 2017, the Office of National Statistics report that forklift operators had a suicide rate 85% higher than the national average. Van drivers were noted to have a rate 25% higher, and LGV drivers 20% higher than the national average.
(Note that these numbers could be even higher as these are the reported figures from 2017)
As a industry have to get people talking. We must work together to reduce these numbers.
