Industrial & Plant Equipment Training can even take place at your site, using your equipment to ensure the delegates understand how to operate the machinery they will be using. Delivering their training in a familiar environment in which they will be working in.

Forklift operator
Novice, Conversion, and Refresher courses are available. Lots of practical training and practice using the forklift and learning to lift and move various types of loads.
The length of each course varies as follows:
- Novice Course 1 truck – 1 candidate – 1 instructor = 3 days
- Novice Course 1 truck – 2 candidates – 1 instructor = 4 days
- Novice Course 1 truck – 3 candidates – 1 instructor = 5 days
- Conversion Course 1 truck – 1-2 candidates – 1 instructor = 1 day
- Conversion Course 1 truck – 3 candidates – 1 instructor = 2 days
- Refresher Course 1 truck – 1-3 candidates – 1 instructor = 1 day
- Attachment Conversion Course 1 truck – 1-3 candidates – 1 instructor = 1 day
The average length of a training course is also based on every individual candidate’s ability to learn and what materials are available to use at the time of training. Some circumstances may require further tuition, resulting in adding 1 or more days.
There are no specific timings as to the daily length of any training course.
This is usually down to the course Instructors discretion.
Vertical Panel Saw/Sawmill training
Training course aimed at the safety, use, and basic maintenance of the vertical panel saw/sawmill commonly found in builders merchants.
The training covers:
- Types of PPE and their use
- Pre-use checks
- Blade changing procedures
- Extraction filter maintenance
- Isolator switch use
There is practical training and practice along with a theory test and a practical assessment.
Manual Handling
A classroom based course covering the following:
- Manual Handling Operations Regulations
- Weight limitations
- Assessing risk
- Techniques and their application
This course involves both a theoretical test and a practical assessment.
Working at Height training
A classroom based course covering the following:
- Work at Height Regulations
- Types of PPE and their use
- Risk assesments
- Applicable techniques for ladder safety and use
This course has practice sessions and involves both a theoretical test and a practical assessment.
Marshal training
A classroom based course covering the following:
- Use of hand signals
- Types of PPE and their use
- Risk assesments
- Safe positioning
This course has practice sessions and involves both a theoretical test and a practical assessment.
Banksman training
The main difference between marshalling and banksman courses is that marshalls command vehicles
to stop before an accident occurs, whereas a banksman is responsible for guiding the vehicle directly.
Banksman is more involved with many more signals, team coordination and generally more involved
practices as there is full responsibility for every vehicle/pedestrian on the whole route.
A classroom based course covering the following:
- Use of hand signals
- Types of PPE and their use
- Risk assesments
- Safe positioning
- Route planning
This course has practice sessions and involves both a theoretical test and a practical assessment.
